Clash in the North is an bi-annual Fitness event running for the 14th time in 2024 on the 28 - 29 Sep 2024.

Saturday 7h00 - 19h00 Sunday 7h00 - 13h00. TCs Times might change slightly.

This is a real community-based event and we invite you guys to join us at a weekend of sweat, hard work and lots of fun! Get your entries in ASAP.

We welcome boxes and facilities from around South Africa to participate and come down for a holiday!

This competition is mainly a Beginner and Intermediate event and we welcome all athletes to enter, whether you’re just starting out or been at this for a while.

We will open entries to the following 3 divisions: Scaled MMFF, Intermediate MMFF, and RX MMFF

All teams are to enter with a judge.

Teams can select the same judge (i.e., one box can have 2-3 judges between their teams) but all teams must have at least 1 judge.

There is the option to add an extra team member as a volunteer judge for the weekend as we are trying to grow the judging community. This can also be one of your team members who helps judge even if it’s one heat/event outside your own heat/event. It’s not compulsory, so either leave blank or use your team captains details. We will contact you to confirm that you are volunteering.

When deciding on which of the CITN divisions to enter your team in, you should consider the following:

• RX: MMFF → This division is for your athlete teams that have got most skills and a good idea of their capacity. There will likely be a max lift or weightlifting complex and most high level gymnastics will be tested.
• Intermediate: MMFF → This is our feature category for if you have entered before and/or you feel 50% of your team's athletes can do the following movements: Pull Ups, Handstand walk, Toes to Bar, Strict Push Ups (with no snaking), Box jumps 50cm Females / 60cm Males, and Barbell work that requires skill to move weight of ≤40kg Females / 50kg Males. Finals will always have a tester but if the team cannot complete there will be a burpee penalty to continue. (We might decide to screw you over :))
• Scaled: MMFF → This is for a team that’s entering for their first time or if half or more of the team will need to scale the movements listed above. Workouts will include the following movements (items in brackets highlight the scaled variations): Pull Ups (Ring Rows), Handstand walk (Bear crawl), Toes to Bar (Toes above waist), Strict push ups (Push ups with knees and toes touching the floor), Box jumps 50cm Females / 60cm Males (Box Step ups or overs), and Barbell work that requires skill to move weight of ≤30kg Females / ≤40kg Males. Finals will always have a tester but if the team cannot complete there will be a burpee penalty to continue.
